Each year our governing league, Central PA Youth Soccer League (CPYSL) holds a "Silent Weekend".  As a member of CPYSL, Fusion participates in this event each year.  Read on for a message from CPYSL as well as a link to an informational sheet.

FROM CPYSL:

CPYSL holds "Silent Weekend" in memory of Steve Stabienger who founded and ran the Campbelltown/Palmyra Soccer Club (now LVSC) and had served as a VP of CPYSL’s girls program.  Steve had been working on bringing the "Silent Weekend" to Central Pennsylvania when he passed away in February 2003 at the age of 59.

CPYSL has continued the tradition one weekend in October to allow children to just play the game they love without interference from coaches, parents, and fans.

Coaches can provide positive instruction before the game, at half-time, and after the game, but are asked to give players some latitude during the game so the children can discover how to play the game without direction.

Parents and fans are asked to remain quiet on the sideline throughout the game…they may provide positive encouragement by clapping.

Silent Weekend will be October 15 & 16…SHHHHH!!
