FALL 2013 TRAVEL TRYOUTS

2013 Travel Tryouts / Placement Information

Registration for the Fall 2013/Spring 2014 season with Fusion F.C. is NOW OPEN.

There will be two tryout sessions held for each age group from U8 (U9 playup) through U13*.  A player must attend at least one session; however, it is strongly encouraged that a player attend both age group sessions.  Tryouts are held at our Red Land Soccer Complex on Old Quaker Road in Etters*.

A player may tryout to play-up to an older age group; however, the player must also attend tryouts for his/her age-appropriate group as well.

For more information on tryouts, please contact our VP of Girls Soccer or VP of Boys Soccer.  Please contact the VPs for inquiries about any age groups not posted at this time.

*EXCEPTION: U13 Boys and U14 and above Boys and Girls age groups will be holding individual age group tryouts.  Dates and locations vary.  Please see information below for those age groups.

Do you need to register/pay before tryouts?

It is preferred that you register your player (click on the "Registration" tab) prior to tryouts and will greatly streamline your sign-in process at tryouts; however, it is not required.  You do NOT need to pay for registration prior to tryouts.  Payment for travel players is due at the time when a travel team invitation is accepted.

*U8 players interested in playing on the U9 play-up team should attend the U9 tryout sessions.  Please note: Our registration system does not allow for U8 -aged players to select the Travel soccer option, as the system assigns age groups based on birthdates entered.  When you register, simply select U8 Recreational and we will place you accordingly if your child is assigned to a U9 play-up team.

These tryouts will be held at the Red Land Soccer Complex at 250 Old Quaker Road, Etters.  Please plan to arrive approximately 30 minutes prior to your assigned time to sign in inside the clubhouse, receive a tryout pinny, and have your photo taken for a player pass.  There is NO fee for tryouts this year for the above listed age groups - U9-U12 Boys/Girls and U13 Girls.

U14 and Above Tryouts
Tryouts for U14 and above age groups will be held at individual team practices.  The age group is the age group applicable for the Fall 2013 season (please refer to age group chart above).

U15 Boys

Tryouts for the U15 Boys Fire (2013-2014) will be held at the Fusion Soccer Complex on April 13 at 12:30pm.  Interested players should meet at the Fusion Clubhouse at that time.
Please bring $5 to offset the cost of professional evaluator.  Please note: Tryout fee is not applicable toward registration costs.
It is preferred, but not required, that any player who is interested in trying out for the team contact the coach, Rob Bertram, at either krbertram@verizon.net or 319-0152 before the day of tryouts.  In the event that a player is interested in trying out for the team but cannot make the scheduled tryout session, the player or family should contact Rob at the e-mail address or telephone number above.  Any postponements due to weather will be posted on the club website.  The rain date for tryouts will be scheduled for the weekend of April 20; the date and time will be determined based on the team's state cup schedule.   In the event that several interested players have conflicts with the April 13 tryout date, then those players will have the chance to try out on the rain date, once scheduled.
The objective of the Fusion Fire is to prepare the boys for competition at the highest levels of youth soccer, through a combination of both technical and tactical instruction.  Within this objective lies a firm commitment to promoting lasting friendships among players, and developing what we hope to be a lifelong love of the sport.  We understand that many of our players and potential players have an interest in participating in High School soccer in the fall of 2013 and have developed a schedule that accommodates this desire, while permitting the players and club team to continue to develop and achieve.  More information on where the Fire has played over the past year and the results of those games, visit http://home.gotsoccer.com/rankings/team.aspx?teamid=457010

U15 Girls

Tryouts will be held at McLaughlin Field on April 25 from 6:00-7:30PM.  TRYOUT SCHEDULED FOR APRIL 18 HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO A SCHEDULING CONFLICT AND WILL BE RESCHEDULED AT A LATER TIME.

U16 Boys

PLEASE NOTE: THE DATE FOR THIS TRYOUT HAS CHANGED. The new date for this age group's tryout is Friday April 26 at 6:00pm at Red Land High School lower fields.

Tryouts will be Saturday May 4 and Sunday May 5 at Fusion's Red Land Soccer Complex from 5:00-6:30pm.
