Will Travel Cost More?

In short, yes it is more costly to have a child participating in a Travel program. 

  • Base registration fee will increase $10-$25 depending on age division. This is due to the league costs and the cost of professional referees for every game. 
  • Uniforms are not included in Registration. While recreation children receive a new uniform each year with their registration, this is not the case for travel. Players are required to purchase a uniform kit costing around $110 (with current vendor). One advantage is, parents have the option to purchase the uniform a little big to allow for growth and possibly get a couple of years out of a uniform. 

Team Fees

Travel players may also be required to submit payment directly to their teams for:

  • Tournaments
  • Training
  • Indoor Competition/Training

These fees vary by team! When a player receives an invitation to join a travel team they are provided with an estimated cost sheet for the soccer year.  While this is only an estimate, this will provide parents with a general idea of costs associated with this specific team BEFORE accepting a spot on the team.

Please do not let the increased costs deter you if you really believe your child is ready for Travel Soccer. Have your child participate in the tryout sessions. If your child makes a team, that cost sheet will assist you in making a decision. 

Fusion F.C. never wants a child to not participate strictly due to financial concerns.
